Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Damian Lillard scored 40 points, making a tying 3-pointer with three seconds left in regulation, and the Portland Trail Blazers rallied from a 13-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 115-111 last night. Lillard’s 40-point outing was his second in Portland’s last four games, following a 43-point outburst against San Antonio on Friday. He also had 11 assists.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Thunder star Kevin Durant missed last night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a sprained right ankle. Durant injured the ankle Thursday in a loss at Golden State. He sat out the Thunder’s win at the Los Angeles Lakers the next night and a loss to New Orleans on Sunday.

UNDATED (AP) – Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota is The Associated Press college football player of the year. Mariota won the AP vote in the same landslide fashion he won the Heisman Trophy. He received 49 of the 54 votes submitted by the AP Top 25 media panel. Alabama receiver Amari Cooper received three votes.

LONDON (AP) – Tottenham says United States defender DeAndre Yedlin will join the club in January, six months earlier than expected. The London club says it reached an agreement with the Seattle Sounders in August for Yedlin to join ahead of the next Premier League season, but now wants him earlier to allow him to adapt. The 21-year-old right back became the first MLS home-grown player to appear at a World Cup in Brazil.
