KEIZER, Ore. (AP) – Police near Salem say they arrested a naked man after he broke into two homes, drank booze and used a hot tub at one. Officers received a 911 call yesterday from a woman who was house-sitting in Keizer when she was awakened by noises. Police found the burglar naked and arrested him without incident.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland police say they kept a hit-and-run suspect from jumping off a bridge into the Willamette River. Officers say the 24-year-old man’s vehicle struck several cars and a pedestrian a little before 1 a.m. yesterday before crashing at Southwest Third Avenue and Washington Street. Officers grabbed him and held him dangling over the river until more police showed up and helped pull him to safety.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The U.S. Navy could significantly increase the number of sonobuoys it plans to deploy off the Pacific Coast. The floating, acoustic surveillance devices are used in anti-submarine warfare. The Oregonian reports that in a modified environmental assessment for Northwest training and testing, the Navy increased the number of planned sonobuoys from 20 to 720.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Portland city officials are considering a lawsuit against Pabst Brewing over its use of the iconic downtown “Portland Oregon” sign to promote a music festival last year. The City Council is scheduled to decide Wednesday whether to sue. The city owns the trademark for the sign. It shows a leaping stag at the top of an Oregon-shaped sign. City officials say Pabst replaced the stag with a unicorn.
