SEATTLE (AP) – A petition from a Seahawks fan asks the NFL to revise its media policy so that Marshawn Lynch does not have to talk with reporters after a game or face fines from the league. The petition was posted Sunday on GoPetition DOT com and had more than 14,000 signatures by Tuesday.

SEATTLE (AP) – A judge near Seattle has dismissed misdemeanor assault charges against soccer superstar Hope Solo. The goalie for the U.S. women’s national soccer team and the Seattle Reign professional club was charged with two counts of fourth-degree domestic violence assault stemming from a June altercation with her half-sister and 17-year-old nephew. KING-TV reports Kirkland Municipal Court Judge Michael Lambo dismissed the charges on Tuesday.

SEATTLE (AP) – Former Seattle Mariners pitcher Jamie Moyer will become the latest inductee into the club’s Hall of Fame. The Mariners announced Tuesday that Moyer will be inducted on August 8th before Seattle plays the Texas Rangers. Moyer spent 11 seasons with the Mariners and is the club’s all-time leader in pitching wins.

SEATTLE (AP) – The Seattle Sounders have added depth at goalkeeper by signing 33-year-old veteran Troy Perkins. Seattle was in need of another goalkeeper to back up starter Stefan Frei after Marcus Hahnemann retired and Josh Ford was selected by Orlando City in the MLS expansion draft.
