HOUSTON (AP) – LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points and Damian Lillard added 23 to help the Portland Trail Blazers fight off a late charge from the Houston Rockets for a 109-98 victory last night. James Harden tied a season high with 45 points for the Rockets, who are playing without star center Dwight Howard, out indefinitely with knee swelling.

SEATTLE (AP) – Kelsey Plum scored 20 points and Washington overwhelmed Oregon 70-55 yesterday. Jazmine Davis had 15 points and Talia Walton added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies. Washington (18-6, 7-5 Pac-12) fairly dominated the first half, and Plum led the way with 12 points as the Huskies built a 38-29 advantage. It could have been worse had it not been for Oregon’s Jillian Alleyne, who scored 15 points and grabbed 13 boards before intermission, her 20th double-double of the season.

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Sydney Wiese scored 16 points and No. 7 Oregon State rallied to beat Washington State 61-56 yesterday. Jamie Weisner added 14 points and Deven Hunter 12 for Oregon State (21-2, 11-1 Pac-12), which was coming off a loss at Washington.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Joseph Young just missed a triple double with 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists as Oregon beat Washington State 95-72 yesterday. Dwayne Benjamin added 25 points for Oregon (17-7, 7-4 Pac-12), which raced to a 52-28 halftime lead on the way to its fifth win in its last six games.
