Wisconsin holds off Duck challenge

Sam Dekker scored 17 points to lead four Wisconsin players in double figures and the number one seeded Badgers are headed back to the Sweet-16 after downing Oregon 72-65 yesterday in Omaha. Joseph Young added 30 points to his Friday night total of 27 in a 79-73 win over Oklahoma State. That made him the single-season scoring leader for Oregon.

Turning to college baseball…

Drew Rasmussen did something no other Oregon State Beaver has ever done. He threw a perfect game Saturday on the way to a 3-nothing win over Washington State. The Spokane Freshman struck out ten in his history setting outing. The win followed a 5-2 Beaver Victory Friday night. They were both followed by a 2-1 11-inning win yesterday as the Beavers swept the series over the Cougs.

In Eugene, the Ducks won 5-1 yesterday over Arizona State. The win kept Oregon from being swept by the Sun Devils who won 7-6 in ten innings Friday, then snatched a 2-1 victory away from Oregon Saturday.

Prep softball and baseball:
