Here is the latest Washington, Oregon and Alaska sports news from The Associated Press

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Sophomore quarterback Luke Del Rio has decided to leave Oregon State.  Del Rio, the son of Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio, threw for 141 yards last season, appearing in three games as backup to senior starter Sean Mannion. He was considered one of Oregon State’s top options at starter now that Mannion has graduated.  New Beavers coach Gary Andersen, who took over after Mike Riley’s departure for Nebraska in December, said in a statement Thursday that Del Rio decided it was time “to start a new chapter in his life.” Del Rio in turn thanked Oregon State.  Del Rio was a walk-on at Alabama and redshirted in 2013 before transferring to Oregon State for the 2014 season.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – Stephen Curry eclipsed his own NBA record for most 3-pointers in a season, scoring 45 points to rally the Golden State Warriors to a 116-105 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Curry entered the game four shy of his mark of 272 3-pointers, which he set two years ago in the season finale at Portland. He hit six before halftime and eight overall, teaming with fellow Splash Brothers star Klay Thompson to bring the Warriors back from 13 points down.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Yannick Weber scored twice and Eddie Lack made 28 saves for his second shutout of the season last night as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Arizona Coyotes 5-0. Daniel Sedin, Ronalds Kenins and Dan Hamhuis had the other goals for Vancouver, which clinched a Western Conference playoff spot two nights earlier.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) – Bryan Lerg scored in his NHL debut and the San Jose Sharks beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1 last night in a game between two teams out of the playoff picture. Patrick Marleau and Matt Nieto also scored and Antti Niemi made 26 saves to help the Sharks snap a two-game losing streak.

UNDATED (AP) – The Seattle Mariners travel to Oakland, California, to face off against the Oakland Athletics tonight. The Mariners are coming off a 5-3 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.
