From 1st to 3rd for Emeralds after losing streak
The Tri-City Dust Devils held off the Eugene Emeralds for a 5-4 win last night in Pasco, Washington. It was the Ems 4th straight loss… before that they had won 12 of their previous 15 games and led the South Division of the Northwest League.
Now the Ems are in third.
They have this evening off for the Major League All Star game… they’ll host the Hillsboro Hops for the first of three beginning tomorrow at PK Park in Eugene.
Non-league American Legion baseball
The Three Rivers Sandblasters are on the diamond at Swede Johnson Stadium in Eugene this evening. They’ll face the Challengers for a pair of non-league 7-inning games beginning at six. There’s no radio coverage.
