PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Former Oregon first lady Cylvia Hayes has been ordered to release her emails to a court for review. The judge issued the ruling in a case that concerns a public records request for more than 100,000 emails, many of which have already been released publicly. Hayes is the fiancee of former Gov. John Kitzhaber, who resigned over allegations the former first lady used her relationship with him to land contracts for her business.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) – Authorities are warning Oregon marijuana growers to be very careful using pesticides. The Oregon Department of Agriculture says it has drawn up a pesticide advisory, which the Oregon Health Authority is sending to registered medical marijuana growers around the state. The advisory says no pesticides have been specifically approved for use on marijuana, which is still illegal on a federal level, and the health and safety impacts on cannabis workers have not been evaluated.

WARRENTON, Ore. (AP) – Federal regulators have issued a draft environmental review saying an Oregon energy company that wants to export liquefied natural gas can mitigate most of the negative environmental impacts it would cause. The Daily Astorian reports the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s review says the problems can be avoided through proper coordination. Environmentalists who oppose the Oregon LNG project blasted the review.

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – For the first time in 20 years, cattle is Oregon’s number one agricultural commodity, overtaking greenhouse and nursery products. The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service says cattle and calve production saw a dramatic increase of nearly 38 percent from 2013 to 2014. Last year, cattle’s production value was $922 million.
