PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A Portland babysitter accused of sexually abusing multiple young victims has been sentenced to 35 years in prison. KPTV-TV reports that Benjamin Nelson pleaded guilty yesterday under a plea deal. Court documents say Nelson admitted sexually abusing two boys under the age of 14 earlier this year. A third child was also victimized. Prosecutors argued that Nelson, who had been hired through a babysitting website, used the job to gain access to children.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The son of a 90-year-old woman says his mom was asked to remove her blouse during a TSA search at Portland International Airport. KATU-TV reports Alan Charney says his mother Harriette was pulled aside after going through a full-body scanner Saturday. The woman had sewn a small pocket into her bra, where she kept money for emergencies. The TSA says it’s still investigating the incident.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a two-car crash in Klamath County has left one woman dead and a toddler injured. The Herald and News reports Michelle Cirrito of Chiloquin was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday. The toddler in her vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. The other driver was also treated at a hospital.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — The Coast Guard says more than 400 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into the Willamette River north of Portland yesterday morning. Authorities say the fuel spilled near the Kinder Morgan Bulk Terminal in Vancouver, Washington. A temporary floating barrier and absorbent pads were placed around the spill.
