Beaver comeback bid falls short in Civil War

The Oregon Ducks moved up three spots in the rankings to number 15 in the Associated Press College poll after holding off Oregon State 52-42 in a wild Civil War Friday afternoon in Eugene.

Vernon Adams Junior three for 366 yards and three touchdowns in Oregon’s sixth straight win. The Ducks, at 9-and-3 overall will now wait to see how the postseason bowl picture shapes up.

Oregon jumped out to a 31-7 halftime lead, but the Beavers made a game of it in the second half.  The Beavers ended the year 2-and-10 overall and went winless in the Pac-12 for the first time since 1997.

It’s time to turn to basketball

Two unbeaten teams will face off this evening at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene as the 21st ranked Oregon Ducks host the Fresno State Bulldogs. Both teams are 5-and-oh so far on the season. The pregame show on KCST is at 4:30… tipoff is at five.
