DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) – Jack Gibbs scored 37 points, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, to help lead Davidson to a 96-86 win over Eastern Washington last night. Gibbs entered the game ranked fourth in the nation in scoring at 24.6 points per game. Brian Sullivan and Jordan Barham each added 22 points for the Wildcats (6-1), who shot 59.6 percent from the field and 50 percent from beyond the arc. The 22-point effort is a career-high for Barham. Austin McBroom scored 33 points for the Eagles (5-4), and Venky Jois had 21 with 14 boards.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The busy Seattle Mariners have acquired first baseman Adam Lind from the Milwaukee Brewers for three teenage minor league pitchers. The Brewers are getting right-handers Daniel Missaki, Carlos Herrera and Freddy Peralta in the trade.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Daniel Sedin and Alexander Edler each had a goal and an assist to lift the Vancouver Canucks over the New York Rangers 2-1 last night. Henrik Sedin added two assists for Vancouver, and Ryan Miller made 32 saves. The Canucks won consecutive games for the first time since Oct. 30 and Nov. 2.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) – Taylor Hall scored with 1:01 left in overtime to lift the Edmonton Oilers over the San Jose Sharks 4-3 last night for their fourth straight victory. Leon Draisaitl, Jordan Eberle and Iiro Pakarinen also scored for the Oilers. The Sharks lost their fifth straight.
