PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Paul Millsap had 23 points and nine rebounds, and the Atlanta Hawks survived a late rally by Portland to defeat the Trail Blazers 104-98 last night. Kent Bazemore also had 23 points for the Hawks, who have won three straight overall and four straight against the Blazers. CJ McCollum had 28 points for Portland.

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) – Isaac Hamilton scored 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting as UCLA beat Oregon State 82-73 last night. Oregon State cut its deficit to 46-43 after a 6-0 run capped by a Drew Eubanks dunk with 15:17 left. UCLA responded by scoring the next seven points. The Beavers dropped their third straight.

SEATTLE (AP) – Andrew Andrews scored 25 of his 33 points in the second half, Marquese Chriss added 17 points, and Washington stayed on top of the Pac-12 Conference standings with a 95-83 win over Colorado last night. The Huskies used a big first half run to take control and they built a large enough lead early in the second half to hold off Colorado’s furious late charge.

SEATTLE (AP) – The Seattle Sounders have bolstered their midfield before the start of training camp by signing veteran Michael Farfan. The Sounders announced Farfan’s signing yesterday, two days before players report to the start of camp. Farfan spent last season with D.C. United.
