Oregon State won in bizarre fashion last night as Stephen Thompson Jr. sank three free throws with just one-tenth of a second remaining to give the Beavers a 71-69 victory over Utah. The Utes had taken the lead with 2.2 seconds left when Jarmal Reid fouled Utah’s Jordan Loveridge.  Loveridge then sank three free throws to give the Utes the lead and what appeared to be victory.  But, when Thompson took the inbounds in the back court and tried to launch a half court shot, he was fouled, sending him to the line. The Beavers host Colorado Saturday evening at 5:30, airtime is 5 o’clock on KCFM

Elgin Cook scored 18 points and Chris Boucher had 12 rebounds and blocked six shots to lead No. 16 Oregon to a 76-56 victory over Colorado on Thursday night. Tyler Dorsey added 13 points and Dwayne Benjamin had 11 for the Ducks, who won their fifth straight and 21st consecutive home game for the second-longest streak in school history.  Sunday the Ducks will host the Utah Utes in Pac Twelve basketball, airtime on KCST is 12:30 on Sunday…..
