COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Kelsey Plum scored 32 points, and Washington shocked second-seeded Maryland 74-65 last night to reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 15 years. The seventh-seeded Huskies squeezed past Penn in the opening round for their first NCAA Tournament victory since 2006.

UNDATED (AP) — The Oregon Ducks are working to get ready to play in the Sweet 16 this Thursday. The Ducks are coming off a 69-64 win over the St. Joseph Hawks and matched the school record of 30 victories set in 1945. Dillon Brooks reached 1,019 points for his career, becoming the first player in school history to surpass 1,000 during his sophomore season.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Gonzaga is preparing for the Sweet Sixteen this week. The Bulldogs face Syracuse on Friday. The Zags, despite their No. 11 seed, were not underdogs in the opening lines in the first two games. They were pick’em against Utah and a 1-point favorite against Seton Hall. The Bulldogs rank 331st in forcing turnovers, the worst than any team in the Sweet 16.
