EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say a 39-year-old man shot and wounded by Linn County sheriff’s deputies after he fired at them during a pursuit in a stolen pickup truck remains in critical condition. The Register-Guard reports Brian Eller remained hospitalized yesterday. Deputies and a passenger in the truck were uninjured.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Officials say a 62-year-old man has died after the semitrailer he was driving crashed and caused roughly 7,000 gallons of milk to spill on Interstate 84 near Boardman. The Oregonian reports that Oregon State Police say in a news release that James Crow had been driving a 2016 Freightliner yesterday when it drifted off the highway and rolled onto its side.

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) – Officials say a dive team has recovered the body of a Vancouver, Washington, woman who was missing after a plane crash in the Columbia River near Astoria. The Columbian newspaper reports divers working with the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Office recovered the body of 63-year-old Irene Mustain yesterday afternoon.

GRESHAM, Ore. (AP) – Police are investigating after a motorist struck and killed an 11-year-old boy in Gresham. Gresham police say an officer on patrol near Southeast 162nd Avenue and East Burnside Street saw a vehicle collide with the boy yesterday afternoon. Police say the child was unresponsive and died at the scene.
