First ever Duck to receive the recognition

Oregon’s Dillon Brooks is the first Duck ever to be named to the Associated Press Pre-Season All American list.

The 6-7 junior forward is expected to miss the start of the basketball season because of an off-season foot injury.

Brooks was a first team all-Pac-12 selection last year, averaging 16.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while helping the Ducks reach the Elite Eight.

Oregon begins competitive play next week with an exhibition game against Northwest Christian University.
