Prep Basketball:

Boys basketball last night… the Vikings held a slim margin coming out of the third quarter, but the Cottage Grove Lions outscored them 16-5 in the final period to grab a 52-45 non-league victory. Kyle King led the Vikings with 17 points; Trent Reavis had 15.

The Mapleton Sailors outlasted the McKenzie Eagles last night 58-32.

For the Girls, Siuslaw fell to Cottage Grove 45-39. The McKenzie Eagles defeated the Lady Sailors 48-16.

Ducks win number seven

In Eugene, Oregon’s Chris Boucher (boo-SHAY) scored 23 points and blocked five shots as the Ducks beat Montana 81-67 last night. It was Oregon’s seventh straight win.
