Siuslaw holds second in Far West boys race

featureSiuslaw boys clinch post season play

Siuslaw held off a late Douglas Trojan charge last night for a 59-48 Far West boys’ basketball victory in Winston.  Trent Reavis led scoring with 23 points and Kyle King added 11 and the Vikings took sole possession of second place in the Far West with just one game remaining in the regular schedule.  The Vikings have clinched no worse than a third-place finish in the league after Marshfield was upset by the South Umpqua Lancers 49-48.  That put the Pirates and Trojans in a tie for third.  Those two teams will play Friday night in Coos Bay while the Vikings will host league champion North Bend.
