Beavers Take First of Three

Last night the Oregon State Beavers took game one of the Civil War Series against the Oregon Ducks and with the win secure at least a share of the Pac-12 Crown.  It puts the Beavers at 39-4 overall and 22-3 in Pac-12 play.  The Beavers capped a fourth inning run with two home runs.  It’s the first time two beavers went yard since May of 2015.  The three game series continues this evening at PK Park and can be heard on KCFM with the pre-game beginning at 6:30

Giviglio Steps in for Relief

In a related Story, Sam Giviglio became the 33rd Oregon Beaver to play in the Majors.  He came out in relief for the Seattle Mariners last night striking out 4 including former Beaver Darwin Barney.  He pitched two innings allowing one run in their 7-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Far West Championship Meet

The Vikings will be on the track at North Bend High School for the Far West League Track and Field Championships.
