Beavers Host NCAA

The NCAA on Sunday named Oregon State one of 16 regional hosts for the 2017 NCAA baseball tournament, for the sixth time in school history. On Monday the Beavers found out they will be hosting Holy Cross Friday evening in a Corvallis Regional.  Oregon State, ranked No. 1 nationally for a majority of the 2017 regular season, earned the Pac-12’s automatic berth to the postseason after finishing league play with a conference-record 27-3 mark. Overall, the Beavers are 49-4 on the season, and are just three wins shy of tying the school’s single-season record set in 2013.

Duck Men Advance to Match Play

The men’s Golf team for the oregon Ducks advanced yesterday to the NCAA Championship Match Play.  Oregon rallied late yesterday to earn the number 5 seed and will take on #4 Oklahoma State this morning.  Play began at 5 a.m. pacific time at the Rich Harvest Farms course in Illinois.  Freshman Norman Xiong (Sha ong – one syllable) finished best for the Ducks in stroke play at 4 over tied for 35th overall.
