Ducks Defeat Cats
The Ducks went into the locker room on Saturday night with a one touchdown lead 28-21 as it was a back and forth game with a lot of tension and several penalties for unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct from both sides. Arizona would score another touchdown in the third quarter but the Ducks piled on another 20 to out score the Wildcats in Autzen Stadium 48-28. The 12th man component was evident too as the crowd blasted noise every time Arizona approached the ball on offense.
ASU Down OSU
The Beavers had a more difficult time with the other Arizona team. The Sun Devils racked up 30 points in the first half to the Beavers 7 in Reser Stadium adding 10 more in the second half. The Beavers added 17 more but their defense couldn’t hold the ASU offense. Final score from Corvallis was 40-24
Roundball Highlights
Ducks men’s basketball defeated the Ball State Cardinals last night at Matthew Knight Arena 95-71. The Ducks had 5 players with double figures with 42 points coming off the bench.
Beavers women’s basketball was on the court last night against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame at Gill coliseum. The Irish were too strong for the Beavers who were defeated 72-67.
The Lady Ducks were in Louisville last night where those Cardinals handed them a defeat 74-61
