Vikings Improve to 4-2; 1 Placement For North Bend Tourney; Ducks and Beavers Continue Winning Ways

Viking Sports:

The Siuslaw Viking boy’s basketball team improved to 4-2 over the weekend in the Les Schwab Eagle Booster Classic by defeating Colton in the finale 55-45.  The Vikings will play their next 5 games at home beginning tomorrow evening at 5:45 on KCST.

The Vking Girl’s Basketball team fell to Colton on Saturday 38-23.  Siuslaw Junior Madison Reynolds was named to the all-tournament team after posting 10 rebounds in the game with 29 total for the tourney.  The Girls also open a home stand tomorrow evening following the boys match up.

On the Mat

Siuslaw Viking senior Richard Huff won 3 of four matches during the two day North Bend Coast Classic Wrestling tournament garnering him a third place finish.  Next up for the Vikings is the Grant’s Pass Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

College Hoops

The Oregon Ducks improve to 6-3 on the season after defeating the Rams of Colorado State 95-65 Friday evening.  Tonight the Ducks host Texas Southern at 7 o’clock. Tonight’s game will not air on KCST due to scheduling conflicts….

The Oregon Women’s basketball team handily defeated Southern Utah 98-38 on Saturday they are 8-1 on the season.

And the OSU Beaver women’s squad defeated San Jose State 110-62 to move to 6-2 on the season.
