AOTW: Brea Blankenship
Siuslaw High School freshman basketball player, Brea Blankenship, is Coast Radio Sports Athlete of the Week. Last week against Sweet Home, Brea led scorers with 13 points and had 4 rebounds and 2 steals in their 38-27 win, and was strong again in the Viking win against Reedsport scoring 11 with 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
Honorable Mention goes to Cariena Greenburg who garnered 14 points 4 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists in the 50 – 18 win against Reedsport.
Ducks Roll Over Hawaii
On Friday the lady Ducks kept their winning ways by defeating Hawaii in the duel in the desert. The final score was 85-44. Sophomore, Sabrina Ionescu scored 19 points in the win and was awarded the MVP averaging 22 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
