Siuslaw Bowlers Roll Towards State Championships; Vikings Get League Win, Civil War in Eugene; Ducks and Beaver Women Win on the Road

Bowlers Roll to State Championships

It was a first place finish for the Viking Girls Bowling team on Sunday.  Next up for the team are the state championships in Klamath falls on February 23-25th.

Vikings Get League Win

The Vikings put a win in the league column on Friday night against South Umpqua.  The final 48-46  giving the Vikings a 1-4 record in the Far West League.

 

The Viking Girls were taken down by South Umpqua  53-33

Civil War in Eugene

The civil war in Eugene on Saturday left the Beavers scratching their heads as the Ducks beat them 66-57.

Ducks and Beavers Women Win

The beaver women put two W’s in the column on Friday and Sunday.  On Friday they took down Utah in Salt Lake 69-58 and on Sunday handed Colorado a loss in boulder 86-71.

 

The Duck Women also took down the Buffalos on Friday evening on the road 74-55   and then took the Utes down on Sunday in Salt lake 84-68.

Siuslaw Fares Well on the Mats

On the mats it was a second place finish for Siuslaw senior Ricky Huff in the Cottage Grove Invitational.  Huff was 4-1 in the tournament losing to undefeated Drew Roberts from Crescent Valley.  Also placing were junior Riley Jennings in Fourth and  freshman  Brady Libby in 6th.
