Beavers Fall in OT; Ducks Defeat Sun Devils; OSU Start Season 5-0

Last night in College Basketball the Oregon Ducks held off the charging Arizona State Sun Devils 75-68.  The Beavers had a tough time against the PAC 12 leading Wildcats.  After coming back from a 12 point first half deficit the Beavers tied the game to send it into overtime, but were unsuccessful in pulling off the upset.  Final Score Arizona 75, OSU 65.  The Arizona Schools will change locations and opponents Saturday with Oregon State and Arizona State tipping off at 5 o’clock, pregame on KCFM is at 4:30.  The Ducks host Arizona at 7:15 tomorrow evening pre-game on KCST is at 6:30.

 

On the diamond Oregon State moves to 5 and 0 on the season as they defeated Nebraska yesterday 9-1.   Luke Heimlich pitched 6 and a third innings giving up only 3 hits and one run.  Nick Madrigal hit his second homer of the season going 3 for 5 on the day and it 7 of nine over the last two games.  The Big Ten / Pac Twelve Challenge baseball tournament continues in Surprise Arizona with the Beavers taking on Ohio State. Saturday OSU plays Nebraska again, then the Buckeyes on Sunday.

 

On the diamond this afternoon the Ducks are in Los Angeles to take on Loyola Marymount for the first of three games.  There series plays out through Sunday…
