Viking Girls Get First Win
The Siuslaw Viking Softball team has put a “W” in the column. Yesterday the Lady Viks defeated Ashland on the diamond 9-2 in the first of two games. Their second game was against Newport who blanked the girls 13-0
Lack of Offense Plagues Vikings
It was a tough day for the Viking Baseball team who had to endure a bus breakdown as well as a string of hits from Philomath and an offensive drought from the plate. Philomath got 22 runs in just 4 innings ending the game early for the Vikings. Coach Tom Shinn says the young team has a lot of resolve and he believes they will progress as the season gets underway. He says they are dedicated to doing things the right way.
