Utah Bests Beavers 2-1 in Series
Utah has proven to be a formidable opponent for the Oregon State Beavers. The Utes took the three game series two to one. The Beavers took Friday night’s game 9-5 at Smith’s Ballpark but Utah put together 18 hits on Saturday for an 11-8 win.
Tonight the Beavers will the Nevada Wolf Pack for the first of two games. Tonight’s game at Goss Stadium’s Coleman Field is at 6:30….
Ducks Lose Cardinal Series 1-2
After a 10-1 win on Thursday in the Bay, the Ducks took a turn for the worse as they met with tough Cardinal pitching on Friday and Saturday. The Ducks dropped the series 1 and 2 with a 5-1 loss on Saturday and a 4-0 loss on Sunday even though they out hit Stanford 9-7.
The Ducks are in San Francisco to take on the Don’s for the second time this season. This afternoon’ s game begins at 3 o’clock.
