Vikings Split Double Header

On the Diamond Saturday Siluslaw managed to get a double header in with the Marshfield Pirates  before the rain.  In the first game Gabe Simington pitched 6 and 2/3’s innings striking out 16 batters allowing only 2 runs and three hits.  In the second game Marshfield got on starting pitcher Evan Teter early with 7 runs in the first two innings.  Teter lasted just 1 and a third innings and the defense was plagued with 7 errors.  Game one: 4-2 Siuslaw, game two: 10-2 Marshfield.

Lady Vikings Fall to Pirates

On Friday the Marshfield Pirates and the Lady Vikings had it out on the softball field.  Marshfield came out victorious in both games, 13-3 and 4-1.  The girls host brookings-harbor next tomorrow evening.

Rotary Prefontaine Invitational Highlights

At the Rotary Prefontaine Invitational senior KC Tatum took 4th place in the discus put with a throw of 126-03

Ryan Rendon-Padilla took 2nd place in the javelin with a throw of 161-05.   Kyle King set a season record in the triple jump with a distance of 39 ft 9 inches  taking 4th place in the event.

On the ladies side freshman Gracie Freudenthal set a personal record in the 100 meter hurdles with a 17.81 fourth place finish and took 3rd place in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 50.36

2 Wins, 1 Washout for the Beavers

Beavers won both games of Friday’s double header against Missouri State. 17-6 and 10-2.  Saturday’s game was cancelled due to weather.

Ducks Split Double Header

The ducks had a double header Sunday against Washington.  First game the Ducks defeated the Huskies 6-4 and in game 2 on a rainy field the Huskies held off the ducks 2-1.
