Double Header: Siuslaw-South Umpqua
It’s the final double header of the Far West League season for the Siuslaw Vikings in both baseball and softball. The Viking boys will be at home hosting the South Umpqua Lancers in baseball at 3 o’clock. Pregame on KCST is at 2:45. The Lady Viks are on the road to Myrtle Creek for softball, game one is at 3 o’clock.
Far West League District Meet
The Far West League District track and field meet gets under way tomorrow morning in Florence at Siuslaw High School. The event will begin at 11 am both Friday and Saturday. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Head Coach Visits Florence
New Siuslaw High School head football coach, Chad Smith will be in Florence over the weekend. Smith says he will be at the District Track and Field meet and would love to meet and mingle with those interested. He says he loves to talk football and is willing to share his goals for the upcoming season.
Mapleton Track
Mapleton will take part in the 1 A Special Districts track and field championship meet at Blue River’s McKenzie Community Track on Saturday.
