Athlete of the Week

Coast Radio Sports congratulates Siuslaw High School freshman Track and Field standout, Gracie Freudenthal as this week’s Athlete of the Week.  Gracie finished in First Place in both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles with a personal record time in the 300 of 47.42.  She was also a member of the winning 4×400 Relay.

Honorable Mention goes to Siuslaw sophomore Ryan Rendon-Padilla.  His first place finish in the javelin qualifies him as the First Seed in the OSAA Track and Field State Championships this weekend.

This past weekend at the 1A-5 Special District 5 Championships Mapleton High School competed.

Phillip Burnett took Second place in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 21.62.

Cole Spencer took second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.96.

Spencer also tied for first in the High Jump with a height of 5-08.

JJ Neece took second in the triple jump with a distance of 36-6.75.

For the Ladies, Jozzy Roby finished second in the 1500 Meters with a time of 6:49.99
