Youth Football Camp Announced
Signups for summer Siuslaw Youth Football Camp are going out this week. Students from grades 3 through 8 are being given the opportunity to develop their skills and work in a team environment. The camp will take place over three days, August 7th-9th , beginning at 5:30 pm. The camp will be led by new Siuslaw High School Football coach Chad Smith. The cost for the camp is just $10.
Beavers Host Minnesota Friday
The Beavers will host the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Super Regionals beginning on Friday. The Beavers first game will be broadcast on KCFM beginning at 1:30 with the first pitch coming at 2pm. It is a best of three series that will stretch over the weekend with a game 3, if necessary, on Sunday. Saturday’s game will air at 6pm with the first pitch at 6:30.
5 Beavers Go To Major League
There is now a total of 5 Beavers drafted in the MLB. Adding to the first round picks of Madrigal, Larnach, and Grenier are 5th round choice Outfielder Steven Kwan picked by the Cleveland Indians and Right-handed pitcher Drew Rasmussen in the 6th round and taken by Milwaukee.
