UNC Takes Down OSU
The North Carolina Tar Heels made the road to a championship for the Oregon State Beavers a little tougher after a 5 run 3rd inning that sent starting pitcher Luke Heimlich to the showers. The Tar Heels took a 6-4 lead in the 3rd and added two more in the 7th. The Beavers tried to rally with two runs in the bottom of the 7th but couldn’t muster enough momentum to get past North Carolina. The beavers will now face Washington at 11 am this morning with a pregame on KCFM beginning at 10:30. The beavers are 4-1 at neutral sites against the huskies since 2004. The huskies are coming off a tight 1-0 loss to Mississippi State.
Emeralds Start Season 2-1
The Eugene Emeralds start the season 2-1 against the Vancouver Canadians. The Ems took the first two games of the 5 game series 4-2 and 8-4 but lost last night 6-4. Game four will be tonight at PK Ameritrade Park with the first pitch coming at 7:05
