With the Fourth of July holiday Americans hit the roads in record numbers. The American Red Cross has travel reminders for those on the road whether at home or on vacation. First let someone you’re your destination, route and travel time. Perform safety checks before you leave home, including fuel, wiper fluid and water. Buckle up and make sure your child safety seats are installed and fastened correctly. Make frequent stops and rest when you get tired. Plus make sure you carry an emergency kit in the trunk. Don’t drink and drive to ensure everyone has a safe Independence Day holiday.
