Senior Night

The Siuslaw Vikings baseball team honored seniors Max Reynolds, Joel Sissel, and Chris Duffy Tuesday before falling to Glide, 8-5. The Wildcats scored five runs in the second and outhit Siuslaw 12-5. Reynolds had two runs and three steals, while Sissel doubled and scored. The Vikings close their season Friday at Glide. The games will be aired on KCST.

The Siuslaw softball team also dropped their final home game against Glide 15-5.  They will finish up with double headers on Friday in Glide.

Klampe Makes the Cut

Siuslaw senior Ryan Klampe is headed to state for a fourth straight year after tying for medalist honors at the district tournament. The Vikings placed fifth as a team and missed the state cut.

The Lady Vikings wrapped up their season with a sixth-place finish at the district tournament. Junior Jozalyn Hulet led Siuslaw with a two-day score of 209 at Sandpines Golf Links.

Mapleton Softball

The Mapleton/Elmira softball team outlasted Harrisburg/Monroe  to come away with a 7-6 victory yesterday. The team is now tied for first place with Harrisburg/Monroe in the Mountain Valley Conference at 11-2 in league play.
