Ems Take One from Canadians

The Eugene Emeralds got off to an early lead last night in Vancouver.  A 2 run first inning set the pace for the Ems as they were short on hits, but made effective use of the bats and base running.  They added 2 more runs in the second and held the Canadians to just 3 runs on the night.  The Ems added a 5th run in the 4th inning for a 5-3 win on the road.  The Ems and Canadians meet one last time this evening at 7:05 pm.

Duck Fan Day

If you are a Duck fan, this Saturday the practice field will open up to the public at 11 am and then from 1-2 pm the team and coaches will be signing autographs in the Moshofsky center.  And if you so choose there will be an inflatable obstacle course for the public.

Beaver Fan Day

The Oregon State Beavers will hold their fan day the following Saturday, Auguest 11th at Reser Stadium.  On hand will be new head coach Jonathan Smith.  Family fun day will be followed by the tradition Movie Night that will be broadcast over the new video board inside Gil Coliseum.
