Football Is Back; Ems Have Shot at Playoffs

Football Is Back

This weekend high school and college sports returns and KCST and KCFM has a full slate with Siuslaw Starting off the weekend at home with visiting Elmira.  Tomorrow morning on KCST new Viking Head Coach, Chad Smith will kick off Viking Sports Talk for the season on Coast Radio at 7:25.  Saturday the Beavers will be taking on Ohio State on KCFM beginning at 8 am with the pregame.  Beavers new head coach Jonathan Smith will be making his collegiate debut as a head coach.  The first to do so for the Beavers since Mike Riley in 1997.

 

The Oregon Ducks will be on KCST beginning at 3:30 Saturday as they take on Bowling Green at home.  This will be Mario Cristobal’s first game as head coach for the Ducks in what he promises to be a season of speed and strength from the ducks.

Ems Have Shot at Playoffs

The Eugene emeralds are in Salem this evening as the minor league baseball season comes to a close.  The Ems, even with a record of 28-42 are still in the hunt for the final spot in post season play. Eugene needs to take two of the three games against the Volcanoes to move into the post season.  Game time this evening is 7:05.
