Winner Goes To The Playoffs

The winner of tonight’s Eugene Emeralds, Salem-Kaiser Volcano game will fill the final position on the post season schedule.  The Volcanoes defeated the Ems last night in Salem 15-5.  The Ems walked out in front with a one nothing lead in the first but a 6 run second inning by the Volcanoes was enough keep the Ems at bay.  A pair of singles and a pair of homers drove in the runs.  In the top of the sixth inning the Ems came roaring back with a grand slam home run from Ems catcher, Brandon Kaleiwhea. But the Volcanoes were not done adding another 6 runs to pull away for good.  Tonight’s game will determine who will go to the playoffs.
