Northwest League Champions – Eugene Emeralds

They went into the series with a losing record, but the Eugene Emeralds have been crowned Champions of the Northwest League after defeating the Spokane Indians in 3 straight games.  Last night at PK Park the Ems were trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning when the Indians  pitching faltered hitting Jake slaughter and then walking Andy Weber with the bases loaded to score Jonathan Sierra.  Indians Pitcher Emmanuel Clase then balked allowing the winning run to score.  The Ems end the season 36-45, but still champs.

Vikings Victorious

The Lady Vikings were on the court last night against Sutherlin.  At Sutherlin. The Vikings took the Bulldogs in straight sets 25-18, 25-17, and 25-23.

Lady Sailors Suffer Road Loss

On the court in Crow, the Lady Sailors were less fortunate.  Crow defeated the Sailors 12-25, 13-25, and 19-25.
