Cottage Grove Tough for Lady Viks

The Lady Vikings opened league play last night against Cottage Grove.  It was a tough battle for the Viks.  They went down in three sets 20-25, 15-25, 19-25, despite some hard work from Makenzie York and Mia Collins.  The duo combined for 22 kills and York had 5 serving aces and 11 digs.  Hayden Muller also contributed 12 digs on the night.

Lady Sailors Shoot Down Falcons

Last night in Oak Hill it was a barn burner for the Lady Sailors and the Falcons.  It took 5 sets but the Sailors managed to defeat the Falcons. 21-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-13, 15-9

Next up is the Boosters Club Tournament in Reedsport tomorrow.

Siuslsaw on the Road in Newport Tonight

On the prep schedule tonight it’s Siuslaw on the road to Newport to take on the Cubs in non league football.  Pregame on KCST is at 6:45, kick off between the Vikings and the Cubs is at 7 o’clock over Coast Radio Sports.

8 Man Football: Mapleton at Glendale

Non conference eight man football has Mapleton in Glendale tonight.  Kick off between the visiting Sailors and the Pirates is at 7 o’clock.

Cross Country Competing in Eugene

Cross Country action Saturday morning has the Siuslaw road warriors in Eugene for the Northwest Classic at Lane Community College.

UO and OSU Schedule:

Collegiate gridiron action Saturday Oregon is at home with San Jose State in non conference football.  Tomorrow’s pregame on KCST is at 12:30, kick off between the Ducks and visiting Spartans is at 2 o’clock.

Oregon State is in Reno to face the Nevada Wolfpack.  Pregame on KCFM is at 3 o’clock, kick off is set for 4 o’clock.
