Marshfield Sinks the Vikings

Last night the Lady Vikings were stunned by Marshfield in three sets.  The squad was competitive throughout the match with two sets almost dead even as Marshfield eked by 25-23 in the first set and 26-24 in the third set.  It was the 25-11 second set that set Pirates apart from the Vikings.

Sailors fall to Mustangs

The Mohawk Mustangs topped the Mapleton Sailors in three sets last night. 25-14, 25-22, and 25-17.  Coach Molly Dooley said it was a hard fought battle.  Senior Erin Michael had 7 aces, 2 kills and a block and sophomore Taylor Winona contributed 4 aces and a kill in the losing effort.

No Viking Football Tonight

There is no Viking football this evening, but Coast Radio will be broadcasting the Mapleton game as the Sailors take on Oak Ridge in 8 man football.  The broadcast will begin at 6:45 with the pre-game.  Kick-off will be at 7:00 on KCST.

Cross Country Cancelled for Tomorrow

The Viking Cross Country team was scheduled for a meet in Newport tomorrow, but coach Chris Johnson says that due to a few minor injuries and some runners being under the weather they are going to do a light workout this weekend and get ready for the Woahink Lake invitational next Saturday.

Beavers and Ducks

The Beavers and Ducks are on the gridiron this weekend.  The Ducks will face #7 Stanford at home with a 3:30 pregame on KCST and kickoff at 5.  The Beavers will face the Wildcats of Arizona also at home with the pregame on KCFM beginning at noon and the kickoff at 1pm
