Prep Volleyball
The Lady Vikings battled it out last night in Marshfield as they went toe to toe with the Pirates. Marshfield took the first two sets 25-20, 25-21, but the Vikings fought back taking the next two sets 25-21 and 25-21. To start off the 5 set the Vikings scored the first point before the pirates rattled off 5 in a row. The Vikings fought off 3 match points eventually tying the game 14-14 before the Pirates put them away. Mak York led the Vikings with 18 kills. Elissa Hurley added 10 kills. Hayden Muller had 23 digs. The Vikings will be back in Marshfield for a tournament on Saturday. But first they will host Elmira on Thursday.
Mapleton hosted the ladies from Triangle Lake last night. The Sailors dropped three straight sets 25-9, 25-14, 25-15. The sailors travel to Eddyville Charter on Thursday.
