Siuslaw Closes Out the Season

The final home game of the season for the Siuslaw Vikings was Senior night as the team celebrated their players that would be moving on.  It was a difficult night on the field Friday as the Vikings ended the season without a win. Several Viking players, including starting QB Elijah Blankenship, were sidelined with injuries.  Sutherlin scored 60 points against the hosting Vikings.  The Vikings managed to score two first quarter touchdowns and two two point conversions before the offense was shutdown. Final Score 60-16

Mapleton Goes Out Big

Mapleton busted out the big stick as it took on Mohawk on Friday night in 8 man football as they defeated the Mustangs 50 to 8.  This was a special non-league crossover game and the final game of the season for the Sailors.

Thriller in Colorado

It was an overtime thriller for the Oregon State Beavers on Saturday as the Beavers overcame a 24-3 deficit in the first half to tie the game and send it to overtime.  The Beavers then took possession in overtime with a 15 play drive that resulted in a touchdown.  The Beavers defense then held the Buffalos on the Beavers 7 yard line for a 41-34 win over Colorado.

Wildcats Crush the Ducks

It was a hot day in the desert on Saturday, but not for the Visiting Ducks.  The Wildcats scored a revenge on Oregon in their home stadium holding the visitors to just 2 touchdowns as Arizona racked up 44 points.  Head Coach Mario Cristobal said the last 2 games the Ducks have lost their identity.  The Ducks are not 2-3 in the PAC 12 and 5-3 overall.
