Cross Country Team Readys for Weekend
The Siuslaw Viking Cross Country team will be heading to the state championships in Eugene this weekend. Runners have been preparing all week for Saturday’s run. With 9 runners posting personal record times in last week’s 4A Sky Em District championships Coach Chris Johnson said the Vikings have the potential of making this week very interesting. The meet will be held again at Lane Community College on a track that with which the Vikings are very familiar. This will be their third time this season on the course.
Duck are Hitting the Courts
The Oregon Ducks will hit the court for their first preseason game tomorrow. The ducks have high expectations with their incoming freshmen this year as their recruiting class was ranked number 3 in the nation, the highest ever for a Duck team. The game will be at 7 pm tomorrow and will be broadcast on the PAC 12 network.
The Oregon State Beavers opened their pre-season over the weekend with a bang as they defeated Montana Tech 103-51. They continue their preseason on Tuesday against UC Riverside.
