Herbert Cleared to Play
Oregon Duck head Coach Mario Cristobal says that Justin Herbert participated in practice and has been cleared to play on Saturday against UCLA, but that the decision to start Herbert has not yet been made. Herbert and teammate Dillon Mitchell have been under concussion protocol since receiving hits to the head in last Saturday’s game against Arizona. Mitchell has not yet been cleared but hopes are that news will come today. The Ducks play UCLA at home on Saturday at 4:30 with a pregame on KCST at 3pm.
Luton PAC 12 Offensive Player of the Week
Oregon State Beaver QB Jake Luton has been named the PAC 12 Offensive Player of the Week after taking the reigns in the second half of last Saturday’s game and orchestrating the win in overtime against Colorado. Luton is the first Oregon State QB to earn the Pac-12’s honor since Sean Mannion on Sept. 30, 2013.
