Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw news and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Hannah Rannow as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Hannah finished in fourth place in the state with a time of 19:02. Her strong finish was instrumental in the Girls Cross Country Team taking a second place finish. Hannah has been a consistent top finisher this season with 5 top 5 finishes.
Honorable Mention goes to sophomore Viking runner Brea Blankenship. Brea finished 15th overall in the state championship with a time of 20:16.
Collegiate Basketball Opens
Non-conference basketball opens for the Ducks and the Beavers tonight. Oregon State will take on UC Riverside this evening at 6 o’clock on the hardwood of Ralph Miller court. Pregame on KCFM is set for 5:30.
In Eugene Oregon will host Portland State. Airtime on KCST is at 7:30, tip off on the Tall Timbers of Mathew Knight Arena is at 8 o’clock.
The Oregon women are on the road to take on Alaska Fairbanks for non conference hoop action.
