Tournament Basketball
Last night was the beginning of the Les Schwab Eagle Booster Classic. The Siuslaw Vikings were on the hardwood against Pleasant Hill. The Billies outscored the Vikings 77-39.
The lady Vikings managed to hold tough against the Billies of Pleasant hill, but when the buzzer sounded they came up short with Pleasant hill taking the win 50-48.
As of this morning OSAA had not yet listed the matchups for this afternoon and evening.
Mapleton is not scheduled to be on the hardwood again until Tuesday evening.
On The Mat
The Viking grapplers are scheduled to be on the mat in North Bend today for the coast classic. 23 schools are scheduled to compete in this event and coach Neil Wartnik says they have their work cut out for them.
“Some of the premiere programs from the 6a, 5a, 4a level, it’s tough this is in many ways Classic is tougher than the state wrestling tournament.”
The Coast Classic will conclude on Saturday
