Wrestlers to Gather at Siuslaw Saturday
This weekend’s Nick Lutz Memorial Invitational brings 19 schools together. Wrestlers from all over the state will compete. Coach Neil Wartnik says the event is bracketed with some brackets having as many as 19 competitors.
“We wrestle off in the way you would play a tennis tournament.”
The event begins at 9 am Saturday with the weigh ins and the championship bracket, according to Wartnik, should be close to the 5 o’clock hour that evening.
Ducks Basketball
Pac Twelve men’s basketball tonight pits Oregon’s Ducks against the Wild Cates of Arizona in Tucson. Pregame this evening on KCST is at 5:30, tip off at the McKale Center is set for 6 o’clock.
Beaver Basketball
Oregon State will be in Tempe tonight to take on Arizona State. Pregame on KCFM is at 6:30 tip off at the Wells Fargo Arena is at 7 o’clock.
Mapleton Hosts Triangle Lake
Tonight’s Mountain West League basketball double header pits the Sailors against the Lakers. The boys game tips off at 5:30 in Mapleton, the girls game against Triangle Lake is at 7 o’clock.
