Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate 130 pound lady Viking wrestler Adriana Edwards as this week’s athlete of the Week, in Saturday’s Nick Lutz Memorial Invitational tournament Edwards wrestled for a third place finish pinning two of her three opponents.
Honorable mention goes to Hector Garcia who also finished in 3rd place in the 160 pound weight class.
Tonight’s Schedule
The Vikings are on the road to Elmira for a Skyem League boys and girls double header basketball match up. Pregame on KCST is at 5:30, tip off in game one is at 5:45, game two follows at 7:15.
The Sailors are at home hosting the Mohawk Mustangs in a Mountain West League double header beginning at 5:30 for the boys game, while the second game in Mapleton tips off at 7 o’clock.
Prep wrestling this evening has Siuslaw on the mats against Philomath and Alsea in a dual meet.
