Elmira Tops Vikings
The Siuslaw Vikings have started the league season 0-4 after a 70-44 loss last night in Elmira. Viking’s Jacob Foskett led the Viks in scoring with 10 points.
The Viking Girls kept it close last night against Elmira. Sophomores Lindsey Long and Gracie Freudenthal teamed up for 20 of the 34 points on the night, but it was the free throw line again that fouled the Vikings chances to win. The Vikings went to the line 14 times in the second half but only came away with 4 points. Handing Elmira the win 36-34.
Mustangs Over Sailors
The Mohawk Mustangs got out in front of the Mapleton Sailors last night in Mountain west League play. Outscoring the sailors 56-28. Nate Neece led the sailors with 11 points, Jeremy Bender added 8.
For the girl it was an even tougher battle. The Sailor girls only managed 9 points on the night against Mohawk’s 51.
