Ducks Win in Salt Lake

The Oregon Ducks fought back in Salt Lake City last night as they battled with the Utah Utes.  The ducks found themselves down in the first half 30-16 after the Utes hit 6 three pointers in just under ten minutes but Oregon struck back going on a 22-4 run to end the period.  The Ducks continued to dominate in the second half despite a strong effort by the Utes to get back in the game.  Oregon’s Will Richardson led the Ducks with 19 points, 5 rebounds 3 blocked shots and 2 steals. Final 78-72 Ducks

Beavers Over Buffalo

The OSU Beavers were in Boulder last night it was a close match for the Beavers against the Buffalos as the lead went back and forth in the 3 minutes.  Stephen Thompson Jr. scored 21 points on the night and Tres Tinkle added 19 with 8 rebounds in the squeaker win topping the Buffalos 76-74

 

Saturday it’s the Beavers taking on the Utes at 2 o’clock, pregame on KCFM is at 1:30.  Oregon will face Colorado Saturday at 6:30, pregame on KCST is at 6 o’clock.

Alsea Defeats Mapleton

Alsea defeated the Mapleton Sailor girls 76-18

There was no Mapleton boys game as Alsea did not field a boys team this year.

Wrestlers Battle on Senior Night

It was Riley Jennings final wrestling match on the home mat last night as Siuslaw High School celebrated its lone senior on the squad.  Jennings pinned Andrew Allen of South Umpqua in 2 minutes and 20 seconds.  Two other grapplers also pinned their opponents: sophomore Elija LaCosse and junior Matthew Horillo.  South Upmqua won the dual meet 36-30.  Siuslaw wrestles Saturday in the OWC Duals at Philomath High School.

On The Schedule:

Sky-Em league basketball tonight pits Siuslaw against Cottage Grove in a boys and girls double header.  Pregame for tonight’s match up is at 5:30, the girl’s game tips off at 5:45 the boys follow at 7:30.

 

Pac Twelve women’s basketball tonight has Oregon taking on the Utah Utes in Eugene at 7 o’clock.  The Oregon State women play Colorado in Corvallis at 7.
